Individual Creation is a decorative glass and mineral aggregate technology developed by Yann Rifflart in 2011.
Surface Inc are very proud to introduce Individual Creation to the market. Developed in France and produced in Germany to the highest specifications, this is a truly versatile material in surface design. Individual Creation can be comprised of various different substrates, from glass beads and granules, through to quartz, natural stone and metal coated glass fragments.
Granules and fragments are mixed together using a 90% water-based, solvent free adhesive and applied to a specially formulated undercoat primer.

Applications range from simple floors and walls to moulded reliefwork, wetrooms and swimming pools.
80% of the material mixes are suitable for use outside and all are easily cleaned using a standard pressure washer.
One of the properties of all Individual Creation surface finishes is a beautiful, organic texture, durable and weather resistant. Different aggregates provide different levels of light reflection, from matt quartzes and stone to translucent glass and mirrored or precious metal finishes.
If a smooth finish is required, rather than the natural texture, it is possible to create a mirror-smooth finish by ‘flooding’ the surface with a clear resin, which is available on order.
Unilluminated Green Individual Creation granules
The lighting possibilities for this innovative material are many and varied. Produce a graded effect with up, down or side-lighting using LED strips or spotlights on walls or ceilings. Alternatively, use LED panels to illuminate from behind for a fully translucent effect.
Individual Creation is applied in the same way as plaster, and any skilled plasterer should be able to work easily with any of the materials.
Unlike textured wallpapers which produce a similar effect for surfaces where an opaque textured finish is required, the durability of Individual Creation means it can be cleaned as often as you like without risk of damage, producing a sparkling finish every time it is cleaned.
The vast number of different colours and finishes of granules and beads means that whatever colour or texture finish your project or imagination requires you can create…. your very own Individual Creation.
