Surface Inc is delighted to announce that the beautiful, bespoke designs from Terrain Mosaics now have a home at the NW Design Centre in Hollinwood, Manchester.
Thanks to the lovely Denise and Neil at NWDC, Terrain are working on a fantastic 7sqm installation for one of their highest profile sites at the centre. Kevin at Terrain is in the consulting process with the NWDC team in order to finalise a design which will be contemporary, unique and transform the current cluttered tiling sample area into a canopied pod of light and drama.
Of course we’ll publish the finished piece after installation. Some of the other designs that the NWDC currently hold as samples are Terrain’s classic ‘Hicks’ inspired pattern and a new design called ‘Tara Damask’, a damask pattern on a blended randomised gradient of vitreous and goldlink tiles.
The NWDC also holds samples of Luminoso translucent wood, Litracon light transmitting concrete, Individual Creation glass and marble bead aggregate, Atelier Alain Ellouz translucent alabaster and our brand new addition, Cocomosaic! What a great place to go browsing for inspiration!
Designed by Andre Kikoski Architects in collaboration with artist Liam Gillick, the 1,600 square foot space features a metalwork and Corian bar, illuminated planes of woven texture and a magnificent, curvilinear bar of walnut Luminoso.
